Syra González, Founder and Creative Director of Syra Curated Spaces & Events

I grew up in the Mediterranean, deeply connected to nature, and from an early age I was fascinated by antiques and architecture. Whenever I encountered a building, an object, or a textile, I would imagine the life it had lived before finding its way to me. I come from a family where antiques have always been treasured, where spaces were truly lived in—not merely inhabited—and where every celebration was a form of staging in itself. That scenographer’s eye—the instinct for the detail that holds a narrative together—is what I now bring to every project.

I have always been fascinated by the interplay of contemporary collectible design, art, and antiques: a dialogue between different eras, textures, and stories that is felt before it is explained. This perspective was also shaped through practice—I studied interior design in Spain and qualified as a Master Florist in Barcelona before founding Raw Estudio Floral in Mérida, Yucatán, in 2016.

Mexico, Spain, and the United Kingdom taught me three different ways of reading a space: through its materials, light, and colour. That journey now forms the foundation of Syra Curated Spaces & Events—years of experience, an editorial eye, and a deeply personal understanding of luxury, expressed in every space I create.

Today, I no longer carry that vision alone.
